feel that you are spending a lot of money? I'll try to clarify those issues one-by-one.

--wen, kaya mi. hehehehe. Siguro that's why ganito ang mga events/activities ng
NARS kasi we are working under budget. Siguro yun din ang naisip ng officers kaya
we work without pay, where the compensation is more student complaints, which
is expected and is okay, by the way. hehehe. We try naman to minimize expenses.
Agpapada tayu met nga agbay-bayad. Kung ano yung mase2t
na gastusin, ganoon din ang babayaran namin.

The
social scene is a balance to our mind-wrecking academic lives. Siguro, nu kayat
yu nga awan pulos ti gastos, ikaten tau na lang
amin nga activities. Kayat tayu lang met nga iparwar ti talento ken laing ti eestudyante ti
college in order to develop well-rounded students. This is student empowerment.

taun, kanya2ng diskarte na yan. Pinilit ka po ba ng skul na mag-night life sa
ganyang paraan? We do have skul 'parties' pero may rationales/objectives naman
po kung bakit may ganoon. At, sa kaalaman po ng lahat, pagdating sa college,
academics ang priority nila. Magpasalamat na lang po siguro tayo dahil
naiintindihan nila ang gawi nating mga kabataan kaya't pumapayag sila sa mga
ganyang events. Nonetheless, they are there to police us when we just might
have 'gone over the limit'.

---Kung nais niyo pong mabawasan ang gastusin niyo lalo na sa NARS events, jan
na rin po papasok ang leadership ng class presidents niyo for ur unity as a
class. Usually kasi, yung mga additional gastos, usapan na yan ng klase. Ang
hiningi lang naman ata ng NARS from the whole students ay yung membership,
sports (plus jersey), at publication fee. Yun na po ung umiikot na pera para sa
lahat ng activites natin for the whole school year. So kung makakaisip po
kau ng henyong suggestions para wala ng gastos, eh di okay na okay yun!

sponsorship. Kaya lang, since we have to generate sales, we also have to ensure
that businesses will indeed agree to sponsor. Eh matanong ko kayo, kung ba ikaw
may business, s-sponsoran mo ba yung outreach program na iilang tao (na nasa
ibang lugar pa) lang ang makakakita ng business advertisement mo? Pwede rin
siguro pero mangilan2 lang ang ganun ka generous (or hopeful). So kakailanganin
natin ng pang-akit sa sponsors, which was advertisement sa pageant. The pageant
itself was a fundraising event for the outreach program. So sponsoring the
pageant is actually sponsoring the outreach program. In conclusion, parang the
pageant was a tool to entice sponsors although the money was mainly for the
outreach program. Gets?

I can relate to your thoughts. Funny di ba? Hihingi na nga tayo, may minimum
pa... pero ganito kasi yun:
Hindi tayo humingi ng pera actually, kasi may kapalit yun. Parang binenta natin
yung benefits sa kanila. Or okay, looking at another perspective, we gave them
something out of gratitude. The point is, that is a solicitation.

Kung kasi hindi tayo maglalagay ng minimum, mahihirapan nating abutin ang
amount necessary for the outreach program. Tsaka pano kung si Juan, nagbigay lang ng piso; samantalang si Pedro
isang daan ang bigay? Pano mo naman ipapantay yung benefits nila na hindi
magrereklamo ang isa?

Depende na rin kasi siguro yan sa pananaw. Kung negativistic,
"wag na akong magbigay, kulang ang pera ko". Pero kung psotive,
"kailangan ko pa palang taasan ang ibibgay ko". So depende sa mind
set natin kung alin ang paiiralin natin. AT kung alam natin na nadidiskumpyado
na silang magbigay, eh di dagdagan natin ng rapport, charm, charisma, and
watchamacallit para maka-solicit tau ng certain amount. Di ba? That's our challenge.
Moreover, that (indicated amount) is acceptable in business ethics naman eh.
Okay lang yun.

But about your complaint on the 'pinagastusan ng estudyanteng pageant'...I
presume you're talking about the solicitation papers? That was a SOLICITATION
paper. Beforehand, we encouraged you to find someone who will solicit. We made
adjustments in response to student suggestions (e.g. in order to come up with a
hundred bucks, you can have as many solicitors who will be counted as one
group).and yet, many sponsored themselves. Okay, that was your choice, we did
not ask you to. So why all the rantings? Don't blame others for your indolence.
Please ask yourself if you did just about everything to find a sponsor. If you
were able to get out of the box (the 'it's not possible' mentality) that bound
you, congratulations! Otherwise, the decision was just up to you anyway.
